The first thing you need to know is that Telkom Pay mPOS is not a prepaid debit card. You don't need to have a bank account to receive and make payments. This is because the app uses a virtual card that is generated on the user's smartphone. The card number is randomly generated and is not tied to the user's real-world identity.
The virtual card can be used for shopping online and in-store, for making payments on mobile networks, and for other online transactions. It can also be used for ATM withdrawals.
When you start the app you will be asked to enter your name and the account number of your bank account. You will not be asked to enter your PIN. This is to ensure that the app is not used for fraudulent transactions.
